A Soviet Union Ussr Order Of The Badge Of Honor Medal

A very insteresting wwii era former soviet union order of teh badge of honor. The badge has a wonderful strike and enamel work, however, it seems to have been issues with a ribbon mount and not screw=back.

It looks as the mounting ring has been removed and a screw-back post added. I have made a large scan on hte serial number and maker mark. I don't know if this was common practice or what? Otherwise, the bagde is in excellent condition.
